Everything needed to write about XYZ BIM or reproduce the mark: files, exact colours, typefaces and quotable boilerplate. Free for editorial use, no permission required.

The name

The name is written XYZ BIM — two words, all capitals, no hyphen. The full legal name is XYZ BIM, LDA. In running text the first mention should be XYZ BIM; afterwards XYZ alone is fine.

The mark

The mark is a monogram that draws the letters X, Y and Z as one continuous figure. It exists in two constructions. The primary one appears in this site's header and should be used by default; the wider alternative exists for broad or low-resolution applications.

The mark inherits the surrounding text colour. Reproduce it black on light or white on dark — never in the accent colour.

Clear space and minimum size

Keep a margin around the mark equal to half its height. Nothing else — text, image, page edge — enters that area. Minimum size is 24 px on screen and 8 mm in print; below that the strokes close up.

The grey margin is the clear space: half the mark's height on every side.

Colour

The brand sits on warm paper with near-black ink. Brick is the only accent and is used sparingly — one element per screen. On dark backgrounds the accent lightens to hold legible contrast.

Do and don't

Do
  • Use the original files from this page, without redrawing them.
  • Reproduce the mark in a single colour: black or white.
  • Respect the clear space and the minimum size.
  • Keep the proportions — always scale on both axes.
  • Pick the black or white version to suit the background contrast.
Don't
  • Apply the brick accent to the mark.
  • Distort, skew, rotate or mirror the drawing.
  • Add a shadow, outline, gradient or texture.
  • Place the mark over an image without sufficient contrast.
  • Reset the name in another typeface or inside a box.

Boilerplate

Ready to quote. Use the short version in captions and listings, the long one in articles.

Short version

XYZ BIM is a Portuguese BIM and architecture collective specialising in scan-to-BIM, HBIM heritage modelling and ISO 19650 consultancy.

Long version

XYZ BIM is a Portuguese BIM and architecture collective based in Portugal, working for Portuguese and German clients. The practice is built on measuring what already stands: laser scanning and photogrammetry turned into federated models, HBIM modelling of listed buildings, consultancy and auditing to EN ISO 19650, and low-cost rehabilitation design. It also develops open tools for the sector — among them BEP99, a generator of ISO 19650-compliant BIM execution plans, and a public directory of specialisms in Portuguese public works tendering.

Legal identity

Download

The package holds the mark as SVG and as transparent PNG, in black and white versions, plus a usage note.
