The history of every article.
From 1999 to 2026: follow the wordings of the RJUE, Portugal’s building permitting code, and the instruments that amended them. Pick a link to read the text published on that date, with direct access to the source.
One cell, one article
Hover over an article to read an excerpt. Click to compare. The dot in the corner marks a July rectification. The numbers follow the order of the instrument; the area of each cell is the same.
When was each article amended?
Columns by publication date. One mark represents one reference in the DRE history; it does not measure the size of the amendment. Click to open the text of that publication in the article’s timeline.
The rest of the normative framework
Inventory of instruments and sources by subject. The wording comparison on this page covers the RJUE; the remaining instruments open at their own source.
Documentary comparison: the highlighting shows word-level differences, including punctuation and phrasing. The legal classification comes from the provisions of the instrument. The general date of entry into force does not replace the rules on application over time of Articles 12 and 13 of DL 108/2026.
How to read the data
158 articles · 26 publications.
Includes the wordings of articles since revoked.
- Timeline. Each terminal opens the wording or the provision published in the selected instrument. Full republications, excerpts and rectifications are identified separately. Dates in the columns are publication dates; the distance between them does not measure time.
- 2026 reform: legal actions. Identified in Articles 3, 4, 5 and 10 of DL 108/2026. “Altered” includes partial revocations. The five categories are mutually exclusive.
- Two complete wordings. The “before” was collected from the DRE (the official gazette’s electronic archive) with the date filter of 28 May 2026. The “after” uses only the republication annex, with the corrections of Rectification 29-A/2026. The ellipsis marks in the amendment excerpts are not treated as deleted text.
- Observed history. Per-article references in the consolidated version consulted on 11 September 2026. An absent mark does not prove an absence of amendments; the published excerpts are not automatically converted into consolidations for intermediate dates. The July rectifications are also available, with the “where it reads / should read” pairs.
- Scope. The reform also amends other instruments. This map covers exclusively the articles of the RJUE; the inventory keeps the sources of the remaining subjects. Sources consulted on 11–12 September 2026.
